I realise I'm losing my bowling skill. It's only merely 2 days since I last touched my bowling ball but today felt so foreign, so foreign that my foot work was totally wrong and I actually started on the wrong foot! No wonder when the bowling ball left my hand, there was this awkward feel and I knew I was on the wrong foot but it was too late and I had to throw the ball out. No prizes for guessing where the ball landed.
After bowling for a while, I realised what was wrong. My fifth step (which is the final step) was in the wrong position. I usually stand at board 29 (the 29th strip out of the 39 strips in a bowling lane) and my final step should end around board 29 but to my dismay I realised that my final step was around board 24. No wonder.
Lesson of the day: Don't walk diagonally to the foul line of the bowling lane. The next time I should walk straighter, so that I'll end up where I start from.
