Random updates after a 2-week hiatus

It's been two weeks since I last blogged! Work's been the same so far, nothing new, just that these days work's been a little busier day by day! Don't know it's because I'm unlucky or what.

Back in the later part of 2005, I paid $17 to the volunteer organisation I volunteered with since 2002 (Heartware Network), without knowing what was in store for me. Over the next few years, I took part in different activies.
    1. I learnt public speaking
    2. I took up an archery course
    3. I co-organised a community project
    4. I volunteered at the meet-the-people session
    5. I went on an epic overseas expedition trip to Yunnan, China

So after 4 years, the result of the $17 and a whole lot of memories came in the form of a certificate and a badge. I received the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Gold award from the President 4 days ago on a Friday afternoon in Temasek Polytecnic! It's more of a personal achievement rather than something to shine in my resume.

I could never have imagined how this $17 changed my life to a rather great extent, but I'll leave it for another post.

What's mid-autumn festival without mooncakes and lanterns? 3 days ago the dearest one and I celebrated mid-autumn festival with a walk around the park opposite her house, with a lantern in hand of course!
