    Updates updates!

I'm back from a short break from the blogging world! Not that I don't wanna blog, it's just that I get tired each time I sit in front of my comp after a long day at work / out and have no mood to blog!

    Anyway updates!

    1. Birthday!

It sucks to have to work on my birthday, so I decided to start the day off with a hearty breakfast from MacDonalds!

After work, it was celebration with family and dearie. I like family dinners, that warm feeling.

Check out my awesome birthday cake, courtesy of dearie!

It's not made of the usual flour and eggs like any other cake, but it's made up of AGAR AGAR! Goodness, what a novelty!

And thanks dearie for your present! What's inside that gift wrapper is a secret =p

And thanks to my penpal for mailing me my birthday gift! =) Yes I have a penpal!

    2. Birthday dinner with HZ and melia

Had some time to spare before meeting those two ladies, and hence I decided to walk around Bugis Street! It wasn't that crowded on a Friday early evening but I left shortly after as I didn't really have anything in mind to buy (except for maybe a few random fashion accessories).

Saw Iluma behind me so I decided to go take a look and I saw this nice coffee bean shop on the 2nd level. Felt that it was time for a small treat to myself and hence I decided to get myself a cafe latte and a cake to "celebrate" my own birthday! Haha.

The coffeebean shop has a rather nice feel to it. Beside where I sitting (I was sitting on this arm-chair) is a nice glass panel. It's a good place to sit if you just wanna relax and watch the world go by.

630 arrived and I went to meet the two ladies for dinner. We decided on this Jap place at Iluma. The food was so-so only. Didn't take any photos of the food though as my phone batt was low -_-

Thanks for the cufflinks! Lovely design, simple yet elegant! =)

    3. Birthday dinner treat with Dearie

While waiting for dearie to arrive at Vivo, I had a coffee! How can a fan of coffee not have a cup of coffee to start off the day? I had mine at Secret Recipe, Vivo!

The fine Saturday started off with a great movie experience, at Vivo's Golden Village GOLD CLASS theatre! The experience was awesome! The seats were huge, and there was leg rest too! You can even lie back on the seat just by pressing a button! Press another button and someone will come to take your order for food and drinks! It was simply luxurious. The only thing was the price per ticket.

Then it was off to Old School @ Mount Sophia! We explored the place a bit. It was a tad spooky as the place was kinda deserted. If we aren't wrong, the whole place is actually like a shopping centre, which features art galleries! The entire place is designed like a school premises! Check out the graffiti on one of the walls.

We headed to the restaurant opposite the Old School (I don't know the name of the restaurant) after touring.
The decor's nice I have to say.

And if you dine al-fresco style, you can get a pretty decent view of the surrounding scenery.

The menu's in the form of loose sheets of paper on a clipboard, much like some homework of a student.

Anyway the food arrived, and it was time to tuck in!

First's up was the starters: duck breast salad (I don't know the exact names of the dishes)

    Next were the main courses!

Then the dessert: Champagne sorbet! A nice treat if you have a sweet tooth! Never mind if you don't take alcohol because the alcohol taste is very light!

A nice dinner, but a bit too pricey though. Thanks dearie for the treat!

    3. OMY YBloggist prize

Having won as a top10 blogger for the above-mentioned compeition, I was rewarded with a brand new Creative Vado HD! A cool gadget! I haven't opened the package though, will wait till next time when I need to use it! Maybe I can use it to create little snippets of my life in the form of videos!

Other than this cool gadgets, I was also rewarded with food vouchers! Looks like I'm going to dine at Heeren for quite some time from now onwards!

A nice weekend gone just like that! It's back to work. Sianz!
